West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a new campaign “Didi’rSurakha Kavach” for her party, Trinamool Congress. The campaign “Didi’rSurakha Kavach” ahead of the panchayat polls due in April. The “Didi’rSurakha Kavach” will begin on 10th January 2023.The campaign will continue for 60 days during which the workers of the party will reach out to the people across the state and ensure that everyone can avail of the welfare schemes of the state government.

The Union Cabinet has approved the naming of Greenfield International Airport at Goa’s Mopa as Manohar International Airport after former Defence Minister and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2022 at Mopa Goa. The airport will be named after the late Manohar Parrikar to honor his contribution to building modern Goa.
