What is DU LLB ?

DU LLB is an entrance exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for a 3-year LLB course offered by the Faculty of Law, Delhi University (DU). This exam is conducted on a yearly basis, and every year around 15000+ students apply for this exam. The exam will be conducted in an online-based module at the allotted center. Questions are asked from sections such as GK, Current Affairs, Legal and Logical Aptitude, and English Language. Candidates who qualify this exam will have to participate in a counselling session, after which they will be shortlisted and provided admission into any of the 3 law campuses. Under Delhi University, which had a combined intake of 2888 seats in 2022. the expected date of examination is 1st and 2nd week of June 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Aspirants should have passed their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in any subject from any UGC recognized university. In the case of reserved category candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks.
  • Candidates who are currently doing an LL.B. programme at any university will not be given admission unless they cancel their programme at that university.
  • You can attempt This exam as much as please there is no limit.

Syllabus

The syllabus for DU LLB is released by the Law Faculty of Delhi University. Candidates are recommended to go to the official website and are advised to strictly prepare themselves within the guidelines of the syllabus. Any misdirection from the syllabus will slim their chances of clearing the exam. DU LLB consists of the following subjects:

  • English language comprehension
  • General Knowledge
  • Legal Awareness
  • Analytical Abilities

Each section, as mentioned above, will have a total of 25 objective-type questions carrying one mark each.

Fee Details

The three-year LLB admission fee is Rs 15, with a one-time enrollment fee of Rs 200. Candidates will also be responsible for paying union and sports fees, moot court expenses, examination fees, and development fees. DU LLB fee payment for the first year would be Rs. 4,428. Similarly, the LLM course provided by DU LLM has an annual price of Rs. 4,479.

How to Apply ?

Part 1: Registration 

  • Visit the official website of DU LLB and Click on ‘New Registration’
  • Enter your details.
  • After filling in all the credentials click on ‘submit’. You will be provided with a User ID and Password on the registered id.

Part 2: Filling details in Application Form

  • Log in with the user id and password provided at the time of registration.
  • You will be redirected to a new page where other details must be filled in.
  • Now fill in the following details in these details Personal details, Basic details, Educational details, Communicational details, etc.

Part 3: Upload Image and Signature

  • Scan and upload the required documents:
  • Passport size photograph & Scanned image of signature in jpg format.

Part 4: Pay the Fees

The application will not be completed without paying the fees, once submitted the fee is strictly not refundable

  • Log in to the admission portal with the help of an email ID and Password
  • Choose the ‘Make Payment’ Option
  • Make payment via Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking
