Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended MoU Exchange Ceremony Outreach Programme with MoE & MoSDE’ in New Delhi
Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministry of Defence (MoD) virtually attended the Molu Exchange Ceremony Outreach Programme with Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Skill Development and Entreprerneurship (MoSDE)’ in New Delhi, Delhi. The event saw the signing of MoUs and Agreements by MoD, MoE, MoSDE, Indian Army (IA), Indian Navy (IN), and Indian Air Force (TAF) with various stakeholders for the education and skill development of Agniveers. These MoUs will enable Agniveers to timely complete their education, develop additional qualities and skills while serving in the Armed Forces. i. MoUs with National Institute of Open School (NIOS) will provide 12th Class certificates, and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will award Bachelor’s degree, and diploma (2years) to the Agniveers. i. The skill sets of Agniveers have been laid down with National Occupational Standards (NOS), in coordination with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). Based on these qualifications, ‘Kaushal Praman Patra’will be issued to Agniveers at the time of their exit from the Armed Forces.

NTPC starts India’s first green hydrogen blending operation.
NTPC Ltd. (formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation Limited), India’s state-owned and largest energy conglomerate, has launched India’s first green hydrogen-blending operation in the piped natural gas (PNG) network of its Kawas township in Surat, Gujarat.
i. The project is a collaborative effort between NTPC Ltd and Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) to decarbonize the cooking sector.
ii. P. Ram Prasad, Head of the project, Kawas, launched the first molecule of green hydrogen.

Unilever has announced the appointment of Hein Schumacher as its new Chief Executive Officer. Hein will replace Alan Jope, who announced in September 2022 his intention to retire from Unilever. Hein is currently CEO of the global dairy and nutrition business Royal FrieslandCampina and became a Non-Executive Director of Unilever in October last year. He will begin as Unilever CEO on 1 July 2023, after a one-month handover period.

Economic Survey 2023 Current Updates: India to Remain Fastest-growing Major Economy, will grow at 8-8.5% in FY23.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled India’s annual pre-budget economic survey 2023 in Parliament. The Economic Survey has pegged India’s GDP growth at 6-6.8% for FY2024 under the baseline scenario. This would be the slowest in three years. Nominal growth is likely to be projected at 11% for 2023-24. Last year’s survey predicted India’s economy to grow at 8-8.5% in FY23.
