About AILET 2023

AILET 2023 – The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has released the AILET 2023 application form on September 7, 2022. The AILET 2023 application form will be available till November 15, 2022, at the official website – As per the official notification, the AILET exam 2023 will be conducted on December 11, 2022. Candidates can download the AILET 2022 admit card on November 22, 2022. All the important dates related to AILET 2023 such as exam notification, application link and AILET exam dates has been released on the official website of the university on September 7, 2022. The AILET 2023 registration fee is Rs. 3500 for general category candidates and Rs.1500 for SC/ST and PWD category candidates.

What is AILET?

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by NLU, Delhi for admission to its undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and PhD programmes. AILET 2023 will be conducted in offline, pen and paper mode. Candidates can apply online for AILET 2023 through the link – after the release of the application form.

AILET 2023 official notification  National Law University, Delhi has released the official notification related to AILET 2023, on August 30, 2022. The official notification mentions details on AILET exam date, application date and other relevant information.
AILET application form 2023 Registration for AILET 2023 has commenced on September 07, 2022. The application form is available at the official website –
AILET 2023 admit card  The admit card of AILET 2022 will be available from November 22, 2022.
AILET 2023 exam date The offline-based AILET 2023 will be conducted on December 11, 2022.  AILET 2023 question paper will have multiple-choice questions in only three sections – logical reasoning (70 marks), English language ( 50 marks) and Current affairs and general knowledge (30 marks).
AILET post-exam activities After the conduct of the examination, the university will release the AILET 2023 answer key and result. Candidates shortlisted based on AILET results are invited for counselling.

How was AILET previous year?

As per students and experts, the AILET exam 2022 that was held on June 26, 2022, was easy to moderate. The question paper was a bit longer still many students found the paper easy.

The AILET 2023 application form has been released on September 07, 2022, in online mode. Eligible candidates who wish to appear in AILET 2023 will have to register online and fill the application form by visiting the official website – before November 15, 2022. Candidates to complete the application process of AILET 2023 will have to pay the registration fee of Rs. 3050 for the general category and Rs. 1050 for SC/ST candidates. The BPL candidates belonging to SC and ST categories are exempted from the application fees for AILET 2023.

How to fill AILET 2023 application form?

Candidates to fill the application form for AILET 2023 should follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Online registration – Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU Delhi – Then, click on ‘Register to Apply Now‘ where they need to create a signup or login account by providing details such as name, email id, create a password, date of birth, mobile number and contact address.

Step 2: Select the law course – As the AILET 2023 exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law, candidates should first select the course in the application form – BA LLB, LLM or PhD After the selection of the course candidates should click on ‘Apply Now” to move in the next step.

Step 3: Fill out the application form – Candidates after successfully creating the AILET 2023 login account should fill the particulars given below:

  • Religion
  • Category
  • Nationality
  • Examination centre
  • Address of communication
  • Education details and
  • Parent’s or guardian’s details

Step 4:  Upload the documents – Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications below:


  • File size should be less than 150 KB 
  • The file should be of a JPG, GIF or BMP format
  • The file should be a scanned copy of their recent photograph, colour photo, with a light background and the candidates’ face should cover at least 75% of the photo

Step 5: Pay the application fee – Candidates can pay the application fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking option through an online payment gateway. Or, if the candidate wants to pay the application fee in offline mode then they have to select ‘Cash Deposit at post office‘ as the mode of payment.

10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).

Candidates appearing for their 10+2 exam can also apply for UG programme.


LLB or equivalent degree with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/persons with disabilities).

Candidates appearing for their final year LLB examination are also eligible to apply.


LLM or an equivalent law degree with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ persons with disabilities).
